These Law Enforcement Guidelines explain how authorized law enforcement agencies and governmental authorities may request information from iCrush LLC in connection with criminal investigations, emergencies, public safety matters, and other lawful government inquiries.

iCrush is committed to protecting the safety of our users while respecting their privacy and complying with applicable law.

These guidelines are intended for law enforcement agencies and governmental authorities only. They are not intended for private parties, civil litigants, private investigators, attorneys seeking civil discovery, or members of the general public.

Nothing in these guidelines waives any rights, objections, privileges, protections, or defenses available to iCrush LLC or its users under applicable law.

1. About iCrush

iCrush is a dating, matchmaking, social discovery, and community platform operated by:

iCrush LLC
30 N Gould St Ste R
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States

For purposes of these guidelines, references to "iCrush," "we," "us," or "our" mean iCrush LLC and the services it operates.

iCrush services may include mobile applications, websites, web applications, profiles, messaging, matchmaking, community posts, chatrooms, private albums, discovery features, and other related functionality.

2. Law Enforcement Contact

Authorized law enforcement officials may submit law enforcement inquiries to:

Email: support@icrush.gay

Please include:

LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST

in the email subject line.

Requests should be submitted from an official government or law enforcement email address whenever possible.

Law enforcement officials should not use ordinary user-reporting tools as a substitute for submitting valid legal process.

3. Emergency Situations

If the request concerns an emergency involving an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, clearly state:

EMERGENCY LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST

in the subject line.

Emergency requests should explain the nature of the emergency and why disclosure of the requested information is necessary without delay.

Submitting a request as an emergency does not guarantee disclosure.

iCrush will evaluate emergency requests in good faith based on the circumstances presented and applicable law.

If there is an immediate threat to life or public safety, law enforcement should continue using its normal emergency-response procedures and should not rely exclusively on iCrush to address the emergency.

Requests for User Information

5. Requirements for Law Enforcement Requests

Requests should contain sufficient information for iCrush to identify the requesting authority, relevant account, legal basis for the request, and information sought.

To help us review requests efficiently, please provide, where applicable:

  • Full name of the requesting officer or government official.
  • Title or rank.
  • Badge or identification number.
  • Agency name.
  • Agency address.
  • Official government email address.
  • Direct telephone number.
  • Investigation or case number.
  • The legal process supporting the request.
  • A copy of the subpoena, warrant, court order, or other applicable legal document.
  • The specific iCrush account or accounts involved.
  • Known identifiers associated with the relevant user.
  • The particular records or information requested.
  • The applicable date range.
  • The requested response deadline.
  • Any applicable nondisclosure order.
  • Any special circumstances relevant to the request.

Requests should be as specific as reasonably possible.

6. Identifying an iCrush Account

Law enforcement should provide as much identifying information as is reasonably available.

Useful identifiers may include:

  • iCrush user ID.
  • Username.
  • Email address.
  • Telephone number.
  • Profile URL or profile identifier.
  • Other known account information.

A person's name alone may not be sufficient to identify an iCrush user.

Providing additional information can reduce the risk of identifying the wrong account.

7. Scope of Requests

Requests should identify the specific information being sought.

iCrush may object to or seek clarification regarding requests that are:

  • Overly broad.
  • Vague.
  • Unduly burdensome.
  • Legally defective.
  • Inconsistent with applicable law.
  • Insufficient to identify the relevant user.
  • Outside the requesting authority's lawful jurisdiction.
  • Unrelated to a legitimate investigation or governmental purpose.

Where appropriate, iCrush may ask the requesting agency to narrow or clarify its request.

Preservation of Information

8. Preservation Requests

Authorized governmental entities may request preservation of records while obtaining appropriate legal process.

A preservation request should identify:

  • The relevant iCrush account or accounts.
  • Available account identifiers.
  • The records or categories of records to be preserved.
  • The investigation or case number.
  • The requesting agency and officer.

Where applicable under United States law, iCrush may preserve responsive records for the period required by law.

For qualifying preservation requests under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f), records may be preserved for 90 days and may be preserved for an additional 90 days upon receipt of a valid renewed request.

A preservation request does not itself authorize disclosure of preserved records.

Appropriate legal process may still be required before information may be released.

9. Preservation Does Not Guarantee Availability

iCrush cannot guarantee that particular information will be available when a preservation request is received.

Records may be unavailable because they:

  • Were never collected.
  • Were deleted before the request was received.
  • Were subject to applicable retention practices.
  • Were associated with a feature that does not maintain the requested information.
  • Are otherwise technically unavailable.

Law enforcement agencies with an active investigation should submit preservation requests as early as reasonably possible.

Emergency Disclosure

10. Emergency Requests Involving Death or Serious Physical Injury

iCrush recognizes that there may be circumstances in which law enforcement requires information urgently to address an emergency involving imminent danger of death or serious physical injury.

Emergency requests should include:

  • The name and contact information of the requesting officer.
  • Agency information.
  • The nature of the emergency.
  • The person or people believed to be in danger.
  • Why the threat is believed to be imminent.
  • The relevant iCrush account.
  • The specific information requested.
  • How the requested information is expected to assist in preventing or responding to the emergency.
  • The time sensitivity of the request.
  • Any known geographical information relevant to the emergency.

iCrush evaluates emergency requests individually.

When permitted by applicable law and where iCrush determines in good faith that the circumstances justify disclosure, iCrush may disclose information necessary to address the emergency.

11. Emergency Requests Must Be Genuine

Emergency procedures may not be used to circumvent ordinary legal process.

iCrush may seek confirmation of:

  • The requesting officer's identity.
  • The requesting agency.
  • The existence of the emergency.
  • The connection between the requested information and the emergency.

Knowingly providing false or misleading information in an emergency request may be reported to the requesting agency or appropriate authorities.

  • Removing content.

  • Submitting legally required reports.
  • Reporting apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children where required.
  • Cooperating with appropriate law enforcement authorities.

  • Harassment creating a serious safety risk.
  • Kidnapping.
  • Physical assault.

  • Other conduct presenting a serious risk to users or the public.

Emergency procedures should be used where an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury exists.

Information Maintained by iCrush

17. Availability of User Information

The information available for a particular account depends on factors including:

  • How the user used iCrush.
  • Which features the user accessed.
  • The age of the account.
  • Whether information has been deleted.
  • Applicable retention periods.
  • Technical limitations.
  • Applicable legal obligations.

iCrush does not guarantee that any particular type of information is available.

Law enforcement should identify the specific information sought rather than requesting all information relating to a user.

18. Types of Information That May Exist

Depending on the account and applicable systems, information associated with an iCrush account may include categories such as:

  • Account registration information.
  • Profile information.
  • Account identifiers.
  • Verification-related information.
  • User-generated content.
  • Communications.
  • Transaction or subscription information.
  • Safety or moderation records.
  • Reports involving the account.
  • Technical or device-related information.
  • Other records generated through use of iCrush.

This list does not represent a guarantee that iCrush collects, stores, or retains every listed category for every user.

The existence and availability of particular records will be determined at the time a valid request is received.

19. Deleted Accounts and Deleted Content

Deleted information may no longer be available.

This may include:

  • Deleted accounts.
  • Deleted messages.
  • Expired content.
  • Removed photographs.
  • Deleted videos.
  • Disappearing media.
  • Other removed information.

Whether information remains available after deletion depends on the relevant functionality, systems, backups, retention practices, and applicable legal obligations.

Law enforcement should not assume that deleted information can be recovered.

User Privacy

20. Protection of User Information

iCrush recognizes that information associated with dating and social platforms may be particularly sensitive.

Such information may reveal or suggest matters relating to:

  • Personal relationships.
  • Dating activity.
  • Social connections.
  • Location.
  • Private communications.
  • Photographs or videos.
  • Other aspects of a person's private life.

iCrush reviews government requests with this sensitivity in mind.

We do not disclose user information merely because someone requests it.

Except where disclosure is otherwise authorized or required by law, iCrush requires appropriate legal authority before releasing user information.

21. Requests Seeking Sensitive Information

Requests for sensitive user content should be narrowly tailored to the legitimate needs of the investigation.

Where applicable, iCrush may evaluate:

  • Whether the requesting authority has appropriate legal authority.
  • Whether the request is sufficiently specific.
  • Whether the request seeks more information than reasonably necessary.
  • Whether the request is consistent with applicable privacy law.
  • Whether a narrower production could satisfy the legitimate purpose of the request.

Nothing in these guidelines creates a right to information beyond what applicable law permits.

User Notice

22. Notification of Users

iCrush reserves the right to notify users when their information is requested by law enforcement unless notification:

  • Is prohibited by applicable law.
  • Is prohibited by a valid court order.
  • Could create a risk of death or serious physical injury.
  • Could compromise an investigation.
  • Could result in destruction or tampering with evidence.
  • Could lead to intimidation of witnesses.
  • Could result in flight from prosecution.
  • Would otherwise be inappropriate under applicable law.

Where a nondisclosure requirement has expired or is no longer legally applicable, iCrush may provide notice when appropriate.

23. Nondisclosure Orders

If an agency seeks to prohibit iCrush from notifying a user, the agency should provide the applicable legal authority or nondisclosure order with the request.

A request for confidentiality alone does not necessarily prevent iCrush from notifying the affected user.

International Requests

24. Requests From Authorities Outside the United States

iCrush LLC is a United States company.

Foreign governmental and law enforcement authorities seeking user information may be required to use applicable international legal procedures or obtain appropriate United States legal process.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Mutual legal assistance procedures.
  • Applicable treaties.
  • Letters rogatory.
  • Requests made through appropriate United States authorities.
  • Other legally recognized international mechanisms.

iCrush may decline requests from foreign authorities that do not satisfy applicable United States law or other legal requirements.

25. Local Laws Criminalizing LGBTQ+ Status or Conduct

iCrush serves a community that may face significant legal or personal risks in certain jurisdictions.

A request from a governmental authority will not automatically result in disclosure merely because the requested conduct is prohibited in the requesting jurisdiction.

iCrush will evaluate applicable law, jurisdiction, legal process, user privacy, human rights considerations where relevant, and any other applicable legal obligations before responding.

Nothing in this section limits disclosures required by valid and binding legal process enforceable against iCrush under applicable law.

Service and Verification of Legal Process

26. Electronic Copies

Law enforcement agencies may email copies of legal process to:

support@icrush.gay

with the subject:

LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST

Sending legal process by email does not necessarily constitute formal legal service on iCrush.

Unless iCrush expressly confirms otherwise in writing, electronic transmission should not be interpreted as a waiver of applicable requirements governing service of process.

27. Verification of Requests

iCrush may verify the authenticity of any law enforcement request before disclosing information.

Verification may include:

  • Contacting the requesting agency.
  • Confirming the officer's identity.
  • Confirming the case number.
  • Verifying court documents.
  • Confirming an official government email domain.
  • Requesting additional documentation.

Delays caused by verification do not create liability on the part of iCrush.

Civil and Private Requests

28. Civil Litigation and Private Investigations

These guidelines are intended for law enforcement and governmental authorities.

iCrush does not treat requests from:

  • Private attorneys.
  • Civil litigants.
  • Private investigators.
  • Employers.
  • Family members.
  • Current or former partners.
  • Members of the public.

as law enforcement requests.

Private parties seeking information through civil litigation must use legally appropriate civil discovery procedures.

29. Requests From iCrush Users

Users seeking their own account information should follow the procedures described in the iCrush Privacy Policy or contact:

support@icrush.gay

Law enforcement channels should not be used for ordinary customer support or personal data access requests.

Production of Information

30. Format of Production

Where legally required and technically reasonable, iCrush may provide responsive information electronically.

The format of production may depend on:

  • The volume of information.
  • The nature of the information.
  • The applicable legal process.
  • Technical capabilities.
  • Security considerations.

Law enforcement agencies may contact iCrush regarding significant technical requirements before requesting a particular production format.

31. Authentication and Testimony

A request for records does not automatically include:

  • A declaration.
  • Certification.
  • Affidavit.
  • Live testimony.
  • Expert testimony.
  • Custodian appearance.
  • Technical interpretation of records.

If authentication or testimony is required, the requesting authority should state that requirement clearly in the legal process or accompanying communication.

iCrush Enforcement and Internal Safety Actions

32. Account Restrictions

Receipt of a law enforcement request does not automatically cause an account to be suspended or terminated.

However, iCrush may independently take action under its Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, or safety procedures when we determine that an account presents a risk or violates our policies.

Such action may include:

  • Content removal.
  • Account restrictions.
  • Temporary suspension.
  • Permanent termination.
  • Additional identity or age verification.
  • Preservation of information.
  • Other appropriate safety measures.

33. Reports From Law Enforcement

Law enforcement agencies may report serious safety concerns involving an iCrush account even when disclosure of user information is not being requested.

Reports should include sufficient information for iCrush to identify and review the account.

iCrush may investigate the reported account under its own platform policies.

Confidentiality and Security

34. Handling of Produced Information

Information disclosed by iCrush in response to valid legal process may contain sensitive personal information.

Requesting authorities should handle such information in accordance with applicable privacy, evidence, records-management, and information-security requirements.

iCrush may use reasonable security measures when transmitting responsive records.

No Guarantee of Response Time

35. Processing Times

iCrush attempts to review lawful requests promptly.

Response time may depend on:

  • Urgency.
  • Scope.
  • Complexity.
  • Legal sufficiency.
  • Number of accounts involved.
  • Volume of requested records.
  • Need for additional clarification.
  • Need to verify the requesting agency.
  • Technical availability of information.

Agencies should provide reasonable response periods whenever circumstances allow.

Emergency requests involving imminent danger will generally receive priority.

Changes to These Guidelines

36. Policy Updates

iCrush may revise these Law Enforcement Guidelines periodically to reflect:

  • Changes to our services.
  • Changes in applicable law.
  • New safety practices.
  • Changes in technical capabilities.
  • Changes to law enforcement request procedures.

The version published on the iCrush website at the time of a request will generally govern the operational procedures described here.

Relationship to Other iCrush Policies

No Waiver of Rights

38. Reservation of Rights

  • Waives iCrush's right to challenge legal process.
  • Constitutes consent to jurisdiction.
  • Waives requirements for proper service.
  • Creates contractual rights for law enforcement agencies or third parties.
  • Requires iCrush to produce information not legally required to be disclosed.
  • Requires iCrush to retain information beyond applicable requirements or our normal retention practices.
